Once you have the basics, these shorter posts go deeper on the practical parts of autism care: waiting periods, home routines, school conversations, and the little questions that come up between appointments.

What we believe about family resources

Four rules we follow when we write.

A lot of clinic resource libraries are built to rank in search, not to help. We’d rather publish a handful of guides that genuinely answer a parent’s question.

  1. Every article is written for a parent, not a search engine.

We won't publish a guide unless we can picture the family it helps. If a draft reads like it's written for search engines, we rewrite it before it ships.

  2. Clinical concepts get plain-English versions.

Antecedent-behavior-consequence becomes 'what happens before, during, and after.' Operant conditioning becomes 'what behaviors get noticed.' We translate, we don't dumb down.

  3. If we don't have an answer, we say so.

Some questions don't have clean answers, like long-term outcomes or where typical development ends and autism begins. We say when we're not sure instead of pretending otherwise.

  4. Updates and insights, to keep you informed.

We keep adding new guides, articles, and insights on a continuous basis. We want to educate our families and keep you informed on all things Autism related.

FAQ

About the Clementine resource library.

Quick answers on how we write, what we publish, and how to suggest a topic.

Using the guides

  • Do I need a Clementine account to read these?

No. Every guide is free and open: no signup, no paywall. Read whatever helps your family, whether you end up working with Clementine or not.

  • Can I share these with my child's school or pediatrician?

Please do. We wrote them to be shared with the people supporting your child. If a teacher, pediatrician, or relative needs a plain-language explanation of ABA or autism, point them here.

What we publish (and don't)

  • Why so few articles?

On purpose. We’d rather publish guides that genuinely help families than three hundred that just pad search results. The library grows when we have something specific and useful to say.

  • Will you write about [specific topic]?

Maybe. We prioritize the topics families ask about most during intake. If there’s something you wish we’d cover, tell us and we’ll consider it for the next batch.

  • Do you cover topics beyond ABA?

Some, where they are closely related with autism care: including insurance navigation, IEP and 504 plans, the diagnostic process, and collaborating with pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and schools. For broader autism topics outside of ABA, we’ll gladly point you to trusted resources.

Have a question the guides didn't answer?

Our intake team has spent thousands of hours answering family questions about ABA, autism, and insurance. We'll point you in the right direction, even if it's not toward us.

The guides above are a good place to start if you’re new to ABA. If you’d rather talk it through, a 10-minute call with our intake team is faster than reading.
