The 4 C's of Clementine
Clementine ABA grew from a simple promise: every child gets a clinical team that learns their name, their interests, and the small wins that matter to their parents.
"We start with how it feels."
Before any goal, our team asks how a session feels for your child. We prioritize emotional well-being alongside clinical progress.
"Plans written for your child."
Every treatment plan starts with a blank page. No templates, no copy-paste. We design interventions that respect your family.
"Your team, not our caseload."
The same clinical lead, the same therapy team, the same care coordinator week after week. Consistency builds trust, the foundation of progress.
"We're here, guided support."
Strong communication leads to better outcomes. Regular check-ins and progress updates - help parents stay informed and actively involved in their child's journey.
We accept many insurance plans.
Insurance is our job, not yours - our team can help get you started.
Where Clementine fits into your child's life.
Start with clarity, then choose where therapy happens. Personalized caregiver support that comes wrapped into every Clementine program.
In-Home ABA Therapy
Sessions delivered inside your child's everyday environment - kitchen, living room, bedroom, backyard. Skills are embedded directly into the routines you already run.
In-Center ABA Therapy
Sessions in a sensory-considered Clementine clinic, where predictable structure and peer interaction accelerate the skills that need a dedicated environment to take root.
In-School ABA Therapy
We bring ABA strategies into your child's classroom, daycare, or after-school program - partnering directly with educators so support carries through the whole day.
Free Autism Screener & Understanding Your Diagnosis
A complimentary screening tool designed to help identify whether ABA services may be beneficial for you or your loved one, while providing an opportunity to learn more about your autism diagnosis and individual needs.

Four weeks from hello to therapy - we handle the paperwork, you focus on your child.
Six family moments that change.
You'll recognize the 'now' rows below. The 'change' rows are what we work on, together - slowly, in real moments, with your child.
-
Behavioral & emotional regulation Meltdowns the whole house feels
What you see nowThe vacuum, the wrong cup, a transition through a doorway - small triggers or minor incidents can unravel things for hours. By the time it is over, everyone in the house is wrung out.
What we work onTools to ride the wave before it crests
Your child learns to name a feeling, signal a need, or ask for a break - before the wave breaks. Predictable de-escalation, practiced in real moments, until it becomes second nature.
-
Communication When the words don't come
What you see nowPointing, pulling, crying, or holding it in - because the words to ask for what they want are not there yet. Behavior becomes the message, and you spend the day translating.
What we work onA way to be heard
Spoken words, AAC, signs, picture exchange - whatever channel fits your child. The goal is not a specific method; it is making sure 'yes,' 'no,' 'help,' and 'mine' all become real options for them.
-
Social skills Wanting in, missing the steps
What you see nowWatching from the edge of the playground. Wanting to join, but unsure how to approach or initiate. The quiet disappointment when a turn-taking game goes sideways and the other kids drift away.
What we work onConfidence to step into the circle
Greeting peers, taking turns, reading a face, recovering from a 'no' - each broken into teachable steps and practiced until joining the group feels like an option, not a leap.
-
Daily living skills Daily things you keep doing
What you see nowDressing them because it is faster. Washing hands. Pouring the cereal. Cutting the food. Small tasks that quietly stretch into hours of your week.
What we work onA child who can do their own day
Getting dressed, brushing teeth, packing the bag, asking for help when stuck - small daily wins that compound into a child who navigates more of their own world, and a household with more room to breathe.
-
Transitions & routines Mornings that turn into battles
What you see nowGetting out the door. Sitting down to dinner. Putting screens away for bed. Transitions that should take three minutes and somehow take thirty, every single day.
What we work onA house that runs smoother
Visual schedules, predictable transitions, and shared expectations make the hardest hours of the day calmer - for everyone in the home, not just your child.
-
Motor skills Hands and feet that get in the way
What you see nowButtons that won't button. The crayon that slips. Climbing in the same awkward way, dropping the cup, missing the catch - small motor pieces that quietly keep your child out of the activity they want to be in.
What we work onA body that does what the moment asks
Imitation, grip, balance, motor planning - woven into play, snack time, and daily routines so the building blocks for self-care and play come together where they actually get used.
Depth first, then breadth.

Getting started
-
What exactly is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most-studied, evidence-based therapy for autism spectrum disorder. In plain terms, ABA looks closely at the connection between what is happening in a child’s environment and how they respond - then uses that understanding to teach new skills (communication, social interaction, daily living) and reduce behaviors that get in the way of learning.
At Clementine, that translates into individualized treatment plans, sessions that look like guided play more than a classroom, and steady caregiver involvement at every step.
-
How do I know if ABA is the right fit for my child?
Most families find ABA helpful when a child has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum and is struggling with one or more of the following: limited communication, big emotional reactions to small changes, social skills that have not developed alongside peers, or daily-living tasks that still need a parent’s full attention.
The honest answer: you do not have to know for sure. A free phone consultation will tell you whether ABA is a fit, and if it is not, we will help you find the kind of care that is.
-
What ages do you work with?
Clementine serves children typically from about 18 months through their teenage years. Early intervention (ages 2-6) is where Applied Behavior Analysis tends to produce the biggest measurable gains, but meaningful progress is possible at any age - we tailor goals and intensity to the developmental stage.
-
How do we actually get started?
Four steps, about four weeks from your first call to your first session. The short version:
-

-
02

01
Insurance & cost
-
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Clementine is in-network with most major commercial health plans and state Medicaid programs - Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Carelon, and more depending on your state. We handle the benefits verification, prior authorization, and claim work so you are not the one calling your insurer.
-
What if my plan isn't on your list?
Talk to us anyway. Many plans we are not formally in-network with still cover ABA therapy through out-of-network benefits, single-case agreements, or a state-specific Medicaid waiver. Our intake team will run a free benefits check and tell you what your plan actually pays before any therapy starts.
-
Will I know my out-of-pocket cost before therapy begins?
Always. Before your first session is scheduled, you will receive a summary of your insurance benefits - your copay or coinsurance per session, your deductible status, and any session caps. No surprise bills, no mid-month invoice shocks. If your coverage changes during the year, we tell you the day we find out.
-
What if we cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost?
Tell us. Depending on your state and plan, we can often help families access state Medicaid programs, single-case agreements at in-network rates, payment plans, or community funding sources. We are a small practice, but we will help you find a path before we let cost be the reason you walk away.
The therapy itself
-
What does a typical session look like?
Therapy at Clementine looks more like structured, joyful play than a classroom. A session usually runs two to three hours and is delivered one-on-one by a member of your care team. Goals are baked into activities your child already enjoys - building, drawing, pretend play, snack time, transitions - so the learning is embedded in real life rather than separated from it. Data is collected throughout, so we know what is working week to week.
-
Where does therapy happen?
Wherever it helps your child most. Clementine delivers care in three primary settings: in-home, where new skills are embedded into the routines you already run; center-based, in a sensory-considered Clementine clinic with peer interaction; and school-based, where we partner with classrooms and after-school programs. Many families use a mix - and we adjust as your child grows.
-
How many hours per week will my child need?
It depends on your child’s needs and your family’s life. Comprehensive programs run anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week and are typical for early intervention with significant developmental delays. Focused programs run 5 to 15 hours per week and target specific skill goals for older children or families that need flexibility. Your clinician will recommend a starting point during the initial assessment - and adjust as progress comes.
-
How is progress measured?
Continuously. Every session generates behavioral data tied to your child’s specific goals. Every month, you sit down with your care team to review the graphs, hear the stories, retire mastered goals, and shape what comes next. Progress is never a mystery, and you will know whether something is working long before a quarterly review.
Family & logistics
-
Will I be involved in my child's therapy?
Yes - every Clementine plan includes caregiver coaching as a core ingredient. Sessions are not closed-door. You will see the strategies your team is using, learn how to apply them at home, and have a regular forum to ask questions. The goal is for the wins your child makes in session to travel back into bedtime, mealtime, and everywhere in between.
-
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Life happens. We work with families on schedule changes, vacations, and illness with as much flexibility as our team’s schedule allows. Last-minute cancellations are handled case-by-case - we would rather you tell us than skip a session for a reason we could have helped with.
-
Do you coordinate with our pediatrician, speech therapist, or school?
Always, with your permission. Strong outcomes in ABA come from a child’s whole team rowing in the same direction. We routinely share progress with pediatricians, collaborate with speech and occupational therapists, and align goals with IEP or 504 teams at school. Care coordination is part of the work, not an extra.
-
How quickly will we see progress?
Some changes show up in the first month - usually around routines, transitions, or specific words. Bigger developmental milestones (independent dressing, sustained peer play, conversational language) take longer, and the timeline depends on your child’s profile and the hours of therapy. Your care team will share a realistic, child-specific picture during your initial assessment so you know what to expect, not just what to hope for.
